One of the most anticipated movies of the year has been Godzilla vs. Kong; two colossally sized behemoths throwing punches? Sign me up!
Ever since Legendary Pictures launched its shared “Monster-Verse”, fans have been teeming with excitement and patiently anticipating the eventual “clash of the titans”. This trailer gives them a small portion of the kaiju showdown cake they’ve been awaiting.
The movie combines two different franchises into one monster-sized film, with Godzilla from Godzilla and Godzilla: King of the Monsters facing off against King Kong from Kong: Skull Island in a gargantuan battle of the behemoths.
Where the teaser trailer released a few days ago was anything but monster-sized, this full trailer shows us the relationship and the cause of the whole hullabaloo between the two terrifying titans.
The film features a number of returning characters including Millie Bobby Brown as Madison Russell, Zhang Ziyi as Dr. Ilene Chen, and Kyle Chandler as Dr. Mark Russell.
The movie will also star the talents of Alexander Skarsgård (The Legend of Tarzan), Lance Reddick (John Wick), Eiza González (Alita: Battle Angel), Rebecca Hall, Shun Oguri, Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Brian Tyree Henry (Eternals), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2). Danai Gurira (Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame) is also rumored, but unconfirmed.
Godzilla vs. Kong releases simultaneously in theaters and on HBO on Max March. 26, 2021. Watch the trailer below:
