Young Justice: Outsiders Trailer Debuts at Comic Con

It’s been five years too long for fans of Young Justice to wait for any new footage. Finally the trailer for season three of the show has dropped. After Young Justice was cancelled in 2013, fans Following the show’s cancellation in 2013, fans have been vocal in their calls for a third season especially since the cancellation left many major plot arcs unresolved.

Season three is called Young Justice: Outsiders and includes new characters who join fan favorites from previous seasons. Stephanie Brown’s Spoiler, Cissie King-Jones’ Arrowette, Forager and Thirteen will join the team and Outsiders takes place years after the events of season two.

The trailer (see below) starts with a recap of the first two seasons to get those unfamiliar with the series up to speed, before skipping ahead to the present. The metahuman trafficking plot reunites Artemis aka Tigris, Nightwing, and Superboy to investigate a situation in Markovia which is where we meet some of the new characters. The trailer then ends with a montage of heroes including major DC heroes like Batman and Shazam as well as glimpses of returning Young Justice characters like Static Shock and new heroes like Katana.

Unfortunately, fans still have to wait till 2019, so expect a wait before we see more details and footage. Creators Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Jackie Chan Adventures) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, Star Wars Rebels) are also returning to the series.
