J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Real Husbands of Hollywood) is the latest star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an unannounced role. Sony declined to comment on the casting.
According to THR, Smooth will join Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Michael Keaton, and Tom Holland who plays the titular webbed, wall-crawler in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Smoove joins fellow franchise newcomer Jake Gyllenhaal, who is set to play the villain Mysterio in Marvel Studios’ and Sony’s sequel to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Far from Home, which will hit theaters on July 5, 2019. Holland recently revealed the title of the film, which will be the first Spider-Man solo movie to take the character out of New York and put him in international locations, such as London, where part of the film will be shot.
