Release Date: June 27, 2018
The second installment of the Lando Calrissian series has things looking good for the story – not so good for Lando though. It’s been an interesting story so far with its pros and its cons.
The art is not just above average but impressive, the bright colors are easy on the eyes and handled nicely, the art maintained a steady consistency through out the book which is commendable.
The panelling is average at best in most of the book. It is mainly just more raw frame work, that is with the exception of Lando’s battle scenes which are pretty fluid in sequence.
The dialogue was below average with unnecessary banter that gets tiring to read until the focus is on Lando’s dialogue. The soliloquizing is done particularly well.
The story does a good job of letting us know why each character behaves the way they do. The dynamic between Kristiss, who is not a fan of Lando’s over-the-top attitude, and Lando, who is too self-centered to care, is handled quite nicely.
With everything that transpires it is very clear that there is a lot of room for character development. This makes coming back for more of this book basically a no-brainer.
It ends on a supposed note of suspense and while I am curious as to how our heroes will get out of these predicaments, I am not sitting at the edge of my figurative seat in anticipation
