Comic Review: Cyber Force (2018) Issue #4

Writer: Matt Hawkins, Bryan Hill
Artist: Atilio Rojo
Publisher: Image Comics

Release Date: June 27, 2018

This book has been an interesting read so far and the latest installment doesn’t disappoint. The story gets more intense with each issue and through inference you can say this is the best so far.

Atilio Rojo is splendid with the pen. Although it felt like the art quality wasn’t consistent across this issue, his form went from good to better. That being said, consistent art quality in a book is preferable.

The writing was pretty fluid and characters’ reactions were exactly what one would expect of them – like Morgan Stryker insisting on the safety of his daughter and generally not being a fan of the Cyber Force.

The story pacing went from zero to one hundred but it was executed cleanly. The paneling of the fight was easy on the eyes and clearly conveyed the general idea of what was going on.

Then it proceeded to the amazing surprise ending. All things said the story could go in any direction from there but it wouldn’t be a stretch to say whatever happens will most likely continue to thrill.

Naija Nerd Rating – 8/10
