Spoiler Free Revue: Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 is the second coming of our favorite wisecracking mercenary Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) who battles the evil and powerful Cable (Josh Brolin) and other bad guys to save a boy’s life.

I entertained some skepticism when I was going to see this film. Even though the trailer of the film showed a lot of promise, we all know how 2nd installments can be. However, it took all of 2 minutes of the film starting for my doubt to go out the window. Deadpool 2 was absolutely amusing! It was lewd, annoying, shocking and sometimes absolutely disgusting. No one was spared from the sharp tongue of Deadpool, not Deadpool (or Ryan Reynolds) not Marvel or Disney not even DC! Everyone had a good tongue lashing.

The most surprising thing about this film was that it managed to have a pretty decent storyline. I expected Deadpool will have a shitty plot but the plot wasn’t half bad and they managed to bring out the soft side of Deadpool and they even gave him a crew (if we can call that sham of an assembly a crew). Josh Brolin is having one helluva year what with Avengers being a hit and now this! He was a worthy adversary and handled his role with finesse.

Oh! I have to mention that the post credit scene in Deadpool 2 is the Best. Post. Credit. Scene. Ever. I am not exaggerating when I say this post credit scene made good all that has ever been wrong with super hero movies, I don’t want to spoil it for you but I am sure that you will not remain the same when you see that scene. PS. They are 2 post credit scenes so sit your butt down and go nowhere until the lights come on.

Its not everyday you see a sequel that is equally as good as the first installment but I am definitely going back for a second helping of Deadpool 2.
